- www. – indicates that it’s a web address.
- example – the main part of the domain, usually representing a company or organisation name.
- .com – the domain suffix.
- The domain suffix is the part that indicates what type of domain it is. Examples are,
- .com – Company.
- .org – Organisation.
- .edu – Educational establishment.
- .net – Network provider.
- GoDaddy is one of the most well known domain name registrars, which we will use as an example here.
Steps to register a domain name :
- Go to godaddy official website and search for the domain name we want.
- Make sure the domain name we want is actually available, otherwise we cannot buy it. Click on continue with these options.
- Sign in if already have an account or else create an account.
- Fill the details and click on create account.
- Write the billing information and do the payment.
