  • Now-a-days mobile phones are a huge part of our life. 
  • This is why mobile etiquette was created to make sure each person uses their mobile phone responsibly and with respects to others. 
  • In simple words Mobile Etiquette means Proper mobile usage in professional as well as personal life. 
  • It is knowing when to take calls, when to ignore calls, when to silence your ringer, when to appropriately send and receive text messages and how to use your cell phone in different situations.

Do's :
  • Always keep your cell phone in the silent or vibration mode at the workplace.
  • Start your conversation with greetings.
  • Always keep your pen or pencil with you in professional life.
  • Listen carefully pay close attention to details being expressed by the caller.
  • If you have to ask the caller to hold on, explain why. Wait for the caller's agreement before putting him/her in hold.
  • Speak loudly and clearly.
  • Always keep others in mind.
  • Do learn to use the mute button.
  • Close conversation politely always say "thank you for calling."

Don'ts :
  • Don't speak loud while in public.
  • Don't text or call while driving.
  • Don't have an annoying ringtone.
  • Don't talk to others while you are on the phone.
  • Don't assume everyone recognize your voice.
  • Don't interrupt someone talking on the phone unless it's an emergency.
  • Don't leave the conference on mute and go for short breaks unless you take the permission.
  • Don't say hold on,and leave the caller wondering if he/she is still being attended.
  • Don't use abusive language.
