Numbers Totaled

Gestalt Law :

• Right-align a block or column of whole numbers or of whole numbers and text.
• Left-align a block or column of whole text.
• Align numbers at the decimal point (or imaginary decimal point).

When we are adding numbers it should be aligned so that we can easily do the calculations.

In the above image the numbers are properly aligned but what if the decimal numbers are different from each other.

If you keenly observe the above image decimal numbers are not same so, it's very hard to calculate if it has huge amount of numbers with this type of alignment.

The above image is the best practice for adding numbers if it has different decimal numbers. According to the Gestalt Law align numbers at the decimal point.
